"...in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
- Romans 8:37-39

Today, Jason is on the phone with Shawn Harper, a former NFL lineman for the Indianapolis Colts. Hear about his story of growing up through struggle...and ultimately trusting Jesus as the foundation of his life.
Shawn's advice is "to realize that in some instances, you are not disabled, but you are uniquely enabled. You have been called for a particular plan and a particular purpose. You have a calling for a particular season and a particular reason. Embrace who you are; you're a unique individual. The quest for you is to hook up with your God-given assignment, and live it to its fullest. There you'll find success and happiness."
"God doesn't call the qualified. He qualifies the called."

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
- James 1:2-4
In a recent message at The Catalyst Church, Jason teaches from Nehemiah 2:1-10, 4:1-18, and 6:1-13 on becoming mature in Christ. Learn what it means to persevere through trials in order to become complete in Christ. Be encouraged to be growth-oriented rather than goal-oriented as you listen to these podcasts.
We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to learn. In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And God permitting, we will do so.
